At the dawn of Louisiana’s oil boom, what began as a regional endeavor evolved into the multi-trillion-dollar global oil and gas industry we know today. Driving this transformation were the Cajuns—one of America’s most distinctive cultures—whom I proudly claim as my heritage.

They scraped together the means to buy and build their first boats, faced incredible challenges, and fought their way toward success.
